PROGRESS PROGRESS PROGRESS
Summer term outcomes.
Incredibly pleasing for the most part with almost all subjects reaching 100% expected progress but for one or two pupils who have clear barriers to learning and specific challenges within certain subjects. With music being the main disappointment, the school has planned works to completely deck out the brand new music room and with the appointment of Luis, our new music teacher, we expect the school to be able to offer a full and varied music curriculum in both small group and 1:1 sessions, which should see music progress dramatically increase.
With the additional appointment of a maths specialist and the implementation of accelerated reader, both of which should begin in September, leaders expect English and maths progress to be secure and are focusing on achieving a higher percentage of pupils reaching more than expected progress over the next academic year.
Qualification and learning offers continue to grow with BTEC money & finance, construction, mechanics, Duke of Edinburgh and forest schools all to be available for pupils from September.
